Due to the european working hours directive legal companies are obliged by law to pay extra to our drivers for unsocial hours. a 25% supplement applies to any arrival transfers ( including delayed flights) for flights landing and departure transfers commencing between 21.00 and 06.30. this supplement is only added to the applicable leg of the journey. This is on the fares only and not the tolls

Winter 2011/12 Prices

NEWS: 8th December 2011

As part of the Portuguese austerity measures there is a new very expensive Toll road tax on the A22 East – West Highway. There are no toll booths but the tax is billed to our drivers every time they use the motorway –  and there is 23% VAT added as well !! So for us if we take you to your resort we have to also pay to get back to our next passenger at another resort or the airport - so we are hit twice. There is no viable alternative to the motorway as the EN125 is too narrow and crowded already to take the extra traffic and also will become the most dangerous road in Europe again as the local Portuguese boycott the highway. Also the journey times on the EN125 will be like the old days – 4 hours to Lagos was not uncommon in the summer. We believe that the Portuguese governments haven’t thought this through (not unusual) and will either have to think again or offer a concession to Tourist vehicles in the high season but for now the tax stands.We have decided to hold our prices and charge you a contribution (not all of it) towards the tax separately for each journey made – payable to our driver locally in Portugal

Deposits & Payments


We offer secure on line credit / debit card payments in Pounds & you can pay in full in advance by credit or debit card. Your payment is protected by the Travel Agencies bond which governs the policy on refunds. We do not have credit / debit card facilities in Portugal.
  1. You can pay in Pounds by PayPal or direct transfer to our UK bank without admin fees at the days exchange rate -we will advise the amount payable on booking.
  2. You can pay in Pounds by credit or debit card at the days exchange rate -we will advise the amount payable on booking (An admin fee applies.)
  3. If you do not wish to pay in full we nomally require a deposit to confirm the transfer. (We will advise the deposit required) This is fully refundable as long as we are notified by phone of any cancellation (or we confirm  the cancellation by e mail) at least 36 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival time. If you pay a deposit then please pay the balance to the driver when requested.
  4. As a concession for returning customers- At our discretion we will allow you to pay us in full in Euros (cash only) when you get to your accommodation for both journeys. This concession is on the understanding that a “no show” will result in us sending you a cancellation charge via the internet equal to the arrival transfer fee. Cancellation within 36 hours of your arrival date will result in us sending you a cancellation charge via the internet equal to the deposit. If this happens a receipt can be provided for insurance purposes

Shopping Stop


We always tell you honestly about our service so: The 15 minute “essentials” shopping stop is available for 7.50 euros visitors at all times of year but in the high season( July to September)  we cannot 100% guarantee to offer it – for example if your flight is delayed – it is at the discretion of your driver on the day. Please mention the stop to your driver when you get into the vehicle & if it is at all possible you will have the opportunity to buy basic essentials (water bread milk etc) but it must be a maximum of 15 minutes for essentials and no longer as the drivers are always tight for time in the high season. Recently people have been taking far too long and this has meant that our drivers are not happy- as a longer stop can seriously affect the next customer. It is not possible to visit a larger supermarket and we normally use a small local supermarket close by which carries all the essentials. This stop is discretionary in the high season and will only be offered on the day by the driver if it is possible to do one!!
