Please take an extra minute to read our major warning about tolls on the A22 motorway ( whether you hire from us or not):- Confusion reigns on the Algarve where new road tolls have been recently introduced on the A22 motorway. The danger for hire car drivers is one of unexpected charges to cover this on their credit cards and fines in the post. If you hire a car in Portugal, you are liable to pay fees if you drive under a SCUT toll gantry. These gantries are fitted with automatic number recognition (ANR) cameras, and you become liable for a fee each time you drive under one (the fees depend on the length of road). As a hire car driver, you can buy a device for the car and credit it with a sum of money. However, if you dont have one of these, you get five days to pay the fee at a CTT post office. The problem comes when you dont pay the fee.The road operators (Brisa and Euroscut) say that car hire companies are not liable for the payments if they give details of the hirer / driver to the operator. The driver will then be sent a payment demand to their home. The whole thing is a shambles. The only advice I can give to all hirers is to be very careful. Ask questions about what you need to do and check your credit card bills for any additional charges later on. - The A22 motorway will have an ANR (SCUT) number plate recognition system on an overhead gantry
system and will not have tolls booths or any other warning.
- The hirer must go to
a Post Office (CTT) 48 hours to 5 days after passing the SCUT sign & pay the amount
according to the balance on the number plate of the car and the contracted dates of hire!
- For car hire vehicle
passing the SCUT Toll Gantry- Car Rental Companies will be obliged by law, to
identify the driver that did not pay the tolls at the Post Office.The driver will be
contacted by the authorities by post to collect the tolls due and any (heavy) fines which apply
for late payment
- Car hire companies
may apply administration charges for collecting / chasing of unpaid fines.

- Deliveries/Collections at other resorts in the Algarve will cost between 15 EUR and 40 EUR according to the address.

- The is no reservation deposit - So there is no online card payment and no need for cancellation insurance. If you change your plans just let us know within 48 hours of your arrival date.S
- Substitution - Unlike most companies our clients can request their preferred car. Whilst we always try to provide the car that clients have requested, due to accidents or late returns we may have to substitute an alternative model. This is a circumstance beyond our control and we ask for clients patience. If you are given a larger car you will still only pay the rental for the car you requested.
- Prices are for 7 days; 3 day prices are half of 7 days. Minimum rental period 3 days;
- More than 3 days and less than 7 days - Pro rata with the 3 day price;
- More than 7 days - Pro rata with the 7 day prices;
- Easy deposits - Every booking requires a deposit on collect (by credit card fully refundable at the end of rental).
- The excess amount in case of acciden depends upon the car category:
- Groups A, B and C: 7.00 EUR per day (Excess 950 EUR);
- Groups C2, D, E and F: 10.00 EUR per day (Excess 1,500 EUR);
- Groups G to O: 10.00 EUR per day (Excess 2,500 EUR).
- Flights arriving between 21.00 and 08.30 are subject to a surcharge of 20.00 EUR.
- Deliveries to hotels and villas are only available between 9.00 and 19.00.
- Roof Racks - We only fit roof racks to some small cars. No other cars are available with roof racks. The lightweight construction of modern cars makes them unsuitable for use with roof racks which damage the roof. Please bring suitable tie downs.
- Baby/Booster seats - We have standard forward-facing child seats suitable for children from 6 months to 2 1/2 years of age. We also have Child seat booster cushions available for older children. Please bring a towel or seat cover to help us keep them clean. If you have any doubts about the suitability of our child seats, we recommend bringing one of your own - especially for young babies.
- Additional Drivers - The booking includes two named drivers. If you need more drivers, the cost is 20 EUR per driver.
- Car Cleaning - We provide the cars clean and they are expected to be returned clean. If we find the car excessively dirty, a 75 EUR cleaning fee will be charged.
- Prices in UK Pounds are for reference only. Currency: 1 GBP = 1.10 EUR. Final price will be charged in Euros.
